This beautiful introspection has been pulled out by the magical Hannah Marcotti.
She said P.S. I love you, you’re great.
She said Let me lift some of it for you.
She said Seeing myself reflected in you was such a gift, because you’re cool as shit and it made me feel that cool too.
She said You are awesome and you are enough.
She said You are looking hot today.
She said I love your energy.
She said I can’t wait for you to go bananas on this world and just dazzles us with magic.
She said I wish you lived down the street.
She said Apparently vulnerability is our superpower.
She said I’m so proud of you. You’re rocking and rolling with your biz!
She said I’ll never want to leave you, mommy.
the scent of her lingers::
sandalwood and resin with a smokey finish
temples overflowing with ginger and incense
warm forests of pine and earth
sea salt of baltic seas spilling amber out of her warm hands
soft patchouli necks and wrists
old oak casks of dry red wine
cloves and cinnamon with hints of vanilla
coconut and lavender and rosemary intermingling
::the scent of her lingers
I’m excited to announced that I’ve won an instagram photography contest with Local Flair magazine of the Poconos. They’ve chosen the photo below to be on the cover of their August/September issue (the food issue) which is going to print today! I’m so excited and can’t wait to see it in print.
They also asked me to submit a few sentences about myself to go in the publication. I was happy to have the fire lit and here’s what I came up with, thanks to Kerilyn and Dave (for helping!):
Kyra Dosch-Klemer is a web designer and artist striving to expose the natural beauty and simplicity found in ordinary moments. I seek to illuminate the sublime elegance often concealed within the mundane in order to heighten awareness of the moment through the beautiful stillness and magic that is present in most moments. This is realized through emphasis on the natural state of things. I aim to honor the purity in my art as well as in life, whether it is in the music I listen to, the items in my home, or the food I feed my family. Purity, as a concept, permeates my life. You can view some of her design work at http://www.whykyra.com.
Sweltering heat. Cacophony of children. Exhaustion.
“Be like water,
Live in touch with the earth,
Meditate deeply in the heart.
Be generous in relationships,
Truthful in speech,
Consistent in leadership,
Competent in work,
And timely in actions.
The path of peace
Is forever honorable.â€

A gene targets the thirst.
Like an itch scratched only once, then forgotten.
She wimpers without weeping;
and her cries echo through the matrix.
